Mark Jordan

Group Managing Director

Based in Watford, UK

I co-lead Arnett International with responsibility for executive search delivery, client strategy and international expansion across aviation and regulated infrastructure. My background is rooted in search-led practice within operationally critical environments. Leadership decisions in these settings influence safety, performance and long-term commercial outcomes. My work focuses on mandates where the organisation's operating integrity and external confidence depend on the appointment. I have a particular focus on succession planning for operators mid-transformation, where leadership change is strategically timed and the cost of a misjudged appointment is highest. In these environments, leadership timing is as important as leadership quality.

My work centres on confidential executive mandates and succession planning. I have led mandates for Chief Executive Officers, Chief Operating Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Commercial Directors and senior programme leaders across airport operations, infrastructure delivery and growth-focused organisations operating in complex stakeholder environments. Many of these appointments require cross-border engagement, particularly across the UK, Europe and the Gulf region.

I run mandates with a disciplined, intelligence-led approach. We define the full leadership population first, then engage discreetly and assess in context. Shortlists are evidence-led, not relationship-led.

I am particularly focused on governance, communication and long-term outcome. Clients receive clear milestone updates throughout, and we remain engaged beyond appointment to support transition and integration. In regulated sectors, credibility is built on consistency and discretion. That is the standard I expect on every mandate we accept.

Shortlists should be built from evidence, not familiarity. That means starting every search from a blank page, not a database.

C-Suite Appointments: International Airport Operations (Gulf Region)

Co-led a confidential mandate appointing CFO, CCO and senior operational leadership for a major international airport operator during one of the world's most complex peak operational periods. The mandate required permanent and interim executives with experience in high-volume, safety-critical environments and cross-cultural stakeholder management. Whole-market mapping was conducted across the UK, Europe and the Gulf region.

Project Director Appointments: Major Infrastructure Programme (Healthcare & Data Centres)

Led the appointment of two senior Project Directors across regulated healthcare facilities and hyperscale data centre programmes. Both appointments required leaders capable of operating within stringent compliance frameworks while managing commercial and stakeholder complexity across the UK and Europe.

I measure the quality of an appointment at 24 months. Long-term stability matters more than early optics. If you are managing a succession matter or planning a senior appointment in aviation or regulated infrastructure, I am always open to a discreet conversation.
