About this role
Individuals and Societies (sometimes called Humanities) is the IB Middle Years Programme subject group covering History, Geography, Economics, Psychology, and related social sciences. In an IB World School, the teacher typically delivers across two or three of these areas at MYP level (Years 7 to 11 equivalent) with the option of single-subject specialism at IB Diploma if the school's post-16 cohort supports it. Abu Dhabi international schools are inspected by ADEK rather than KHDA, with an inspection framework that emphasises curriculum coherence and assessment integrity. Candidates with prior IB experience are preferred but not required.
